This book can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a well written, interesting, exciting tale which can be read with pleasure for its story alone. However, while joining Sarah on her quest, you may find yourself thinking who or what is your own Dark Lord and how the many people you have known have helped or hindered you on your own journey along the various paths, taken or not taken and if you have reached your White Mountain or are still on your personal Quest.

I enjoyed this book. I found it to be a fun fantasy adventure to which almost anyone can relate. I didn't want to put it down and when I was done, I wanted more. I've shared it with friends, ranging in age from 60 to 90. They all claimed to enjoy it. Some have bought it for their grandchildren. My grandsons have read it. The 9 year old is re-reading it. The 7 year old wants it to be a series. I think that is a great idea.
